Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

The Cure
Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
(c) 1987
Just Like Heaven

"Show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream" she said
"The one that makes me laugh" she said
And threw her arms around my neck
"Show me how you do it
And I promise you I promise that
I'll run away with you
I'll run away with you"

Spinning on that dizzy edge
I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways I had
To make her glow
"Why are you so far away?" she said
"Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you
That I'm in love with you"

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream

Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved
And drowned her deep inside of me

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Just like heaven

" Your Heart Is An Empty Room "

Death Cab For Cutie

" Your Heart Is An Empty Room "

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground
And start new when your heart is an empty room
With walls of the deepest blue

Fall fades how it ages when you're away
Spring blooms and you find the love that's true
But you don't know what now to do
Cause the chase is all you know
And she stopped running months ago

And all you see is where else you could be
When you're at home out on the street
Are so many possibilities to not be alone

The flames and smoke climbed out of every window
And disappeared with everything that you held dear
And you shed not a single tear for the things that you didn't need
Cause you knew you were finally free

Cause all you see is where else you could be
When you're at home out on the street
Are so many possibilities to not be alone

And all you see is where else you could be
When you're at home there on the street
Are so many possibilities to not be alone

old writtings...

stop my restless nights,
don't block me out,
i'v fallen fast for you.

i apologies for not listening,
too much endless rambling,
and not enough understanding.

forgive me, but please,
don't compare me to the past,
i won't either.

come by for a game of aware,
and try some yerba mate,
let's continue our conversations....

Your Eyes by Ghazi A. Algosaibi

Your Eyes by Ghazi A. Algosaibi

I play in your eyes - -
walk child-like in beach sand
collecting sea shells,
take refuge in my treasure cave
amid the gleam of antique gold,
soar and sail with seagulls,
rest at the lighthouse,
and follow dolphins
to unseen shores.

I wouldn't miss it for the world. Happy Birthday.

Dirty Dream Number Two Lyrics

Artist(Band):Belle & Sebastian

Dirty Dream Number Two Lyrics

I'm lucky, I can open the door and I can walk down the street
Unlucky, I've got no place to go and so I follow my feet

A choice is facing you, a healthy dose of pain
A choice is facing you as you stare through the rain
A choice is facing you but I choose to refrain for today
Tomorrow we'll be back in trouble again

Dream one, you had a whole lot of fun with a comedian
Stop short of going all the way, you'll have to make it someday

Why is this happening to you, you're not a child?
Why is this happening? You've too much on your mind
Things creep up on you when you are fast asleep
You are dreaming, you are sleepy
You are stuck to the sheets

Instrumental

In a town so small there's no escaping you
In a town so small there's no escape from view
In a town so small there's nothing left to do

Dream two you couldn't see her face, but you saw everything else
Dream two was pretty special, easily beats loving yourself

Could you put a name to someone elses sigh?
Could you put a face to someone elses eyes?
Is it someone that you'd maybe recognise?
But it all fades into morning when you open your eyes

Read this Book

Poor People's Movements
by Frances Fox Piven and Richard Cloward

This book is a classic examination of the importance of protest in the United States in the 20th century. It covers the "structure of protest" and case studies of four different movements (two from the 1930s and two from the 1960s). While the main thesis is disputable (protest is possible only within certain institutional and structural constraints; further, it is a necessary path to results for the poor, while organization building is a red herring for activists), the importance of the book is not.

Tahiti 80 "Get Yourself Together"

Tahiti 80
Get Yourself Together lyrics

Here again, I know it's coming
That same old feeling
Those days when you feel like a child again
Leave behind all your worries
There's no time for that, no please
The blue sky over my head
Will get you out of bed
(Chorus)
Get yourself together
Cause we've got to make things happen
While there's still time to do it right
You look better now
No doubt about it
You're even smiling just a little bit
That child-like smile is back on your face
I'll take you on a special journey
Don't ask me where it's brand new to me
The black cloud over your head
Is now on its death bed
(Chorus)
Feels like we live in a movie
It's too good to be true
But don't worry
Cause today, today is the day
When the sun wipes everything away
(Chorus)
It's gonna be alright

Ollanta Humala on Globalization

"Some countries globalise, and others are globalised," is how Ollanta Humala (presidential candidate in Peru) puts it. "The Third World belongs in the latter category."

Committed Citizens

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
